There’s a lot to do in The Fish! Since this will be many of your first visits, we’ve listed some of our favorite spots and activities below. There will be plenty happening around wedding events, but if you’re extending your trip or exploring on your own, these are great places to start.

Get Outside

  • Hike

    • Danny On Memorial Trail - 3.8 Miles on Whitefish Mountain Resort. We recommend hiking up and riding the chair down (link)

    • The Whitefish Trail – 45 mile network of trails across 15 trailheads. We recommend Holbrook Overlook or Lion Mountain (link)

  • Golf

    • Whitefish Lake Golf Course - 36 holes right here in Whitefish (tee times)

    • Glacier View Golf Club - One of Mikey’s favorites. 18 holes at the entrance to Glacier NP (tee times)

  • Mountain Biking

    • Whitefish Mountain Resort - Lift-accessed trails & Bike rentals (link)

  • Lake Activities

    • The Lodge - Rentals available — boats, jet-skis, canoes, paddleboards, etc (link)

Make It A Trip

  • Glacier National Park

    • The park is just 35 minutes from downtown Whitefish. Plenty to do but plan ahead (link)

  • Yellowstone National Park

    • Our first National Park is about 7 hours from Whitefish, nearest to Bozeman, MT (link)

  • Banff, Canada

    • About 5 hours from Whitefish, both Banff National Park (link) and Banff Springs Golf Course (link) are must-dos!
